Paul Morrell

Paul Morrell is a veteran communicator and manager with experience leading government, business, and non-profit organizations.
Before joining Touchdown Strategies, Paul spent more than five years in leadership positions at various organizations within the Stand Together community, where he helped build a world-class, full-service communications agency that supported philanthropic and issue-advocacy campaigns. He previously served as a consultant to PepsiCo where he advised PepsiCo’s head of global communications on communications and management issues, and he developed communication strategies and plans in support of the BP business unit responsible for the company’s response to the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. In 2012, Paul served as the deputy communications director for the 2012 Republican National Convention.
Paul also spent more than 20 years in communications and management leadership positions supporting members of the U.S. House of Representatives, including the House majority leader and Republican conference chairman. In the George W. Bush administration, Paul served as NASA chief of staff, Department of Energy deputy chief of staff, and National Security Council director of communications planning.
Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in journalism from the University of Maryland.
